Capital Campaign

In 2015, the fellowship initiated a Capital Campaign initiative to investigate improvements to our building and location. Through a comprehensive outreach effort, members and friends of AUUF offered feedback on the what they felt were the most important ways and areas to improve the facility in order to more closely align with our values as a Unitarian Universalist congregation.   The result was a prioritized list of possible projects for the property that would support and demonstrate our UU principles.   Three levels of proposed projects were proposed, with the highest level ($750,000 to $1 million) offering the most meaningful additions and modifications to our facility, and the lowest level ($350,000) offering modest access improvements on the south side. On May 3, 2017, the AUUF membership approved the project scope at the highest level. Individual member funding commitments and loan sources provided 95% of the funding needed as of early May. This overwelming vote of confidence from the membership allowed the project to proceed into final design, construction preparation and implementation.

This Informational Packet provides detailed information about plans and levels.

AUUF formed a Capital Campaign Committee to raise funds over the next three years to support proposed projects and to communicate to the fellowship the benefits that would be realized from these improvements. Many thanks to theses committee members for their dedication and for shepherding the project into reality.
